“Flying with inner ear infection?”
A 4 year old girl was diagnosed with an inner ear infection today. She was given an antibiotic for it. She is scheduled to be on a plane this Friday. Is it safe for her to fly?

It is safe for her to fly - she will have had 4-5 days of antibiotics so that should lessen the infection. She may be more uncomfortable or in more ear pain than usual with residual fluid behind the ear drop. Try giving motrin prior to boarding the plane.
