Neurologist Questions Neurologist

Head & Neck CTA

First, I'm on Eliquis. I think I did something to my neck about a week ago & my head & neck have been hurting really bad. My neurologist even ordered a head & neck CTA & it was clear. So, I'm thankful for that but worried that it's not any better. Would the CTA have been pretty definite & even caught something small? Like a small aneurysm?

Yes. The CTA is our most accurate way to assess for aneurysm. Any that are larger than 2 mm would be seen. Any that are less than 2 mm are not significant.
CTA should pick up aneurysms. I don't know what you did to your neck;  You might have hyperextended or flexed it and caused a disk to bulge irritating a nerve root and thus the pain. Talk to your Neurologist about what you did to your neck and discuss getting an MRI of your Cervical spine.
Good luck.
