Eliminate dust with a HEPA FILTER.
Good evening, For children, the first step is to do an allergy panel test as your daughter may be allergic to more than one allergen. Then, allergy shots (subcutaneous immunotherapy) are a good option as they provide long lasting effects years after the last shot. While it may take a few weeks to really help, antihistamines and nasal corticosteroids need to be prescribed to provide relief in the meantime.
The best way to manage dust allergy is to get all the dust catchers out of her bedroom. Eliminate carpet and if you have area rugs they should be regularly washed in hot water. Limit her to one stuffed animal that can be washed in hot water. Get mattress and pillow covers that contain dust in the mattress and the pillow. She spends most of her time in the house in the bedroom so controlling dust in there is key.
#1--Good avoidance with mattress & pillow case covers.
#2--Antihistamines (OTC) and nasal sprays that will help with congestion.
#3--Immunotherapy with allergy shots or sublingual tablets.
