Excellent question- toe fungus is primarily treated topically with an antifungal cream, although other options including antifungal pills may be appropriate depending on the severity. Afterwards, maintenance with moisturizer reduction would be important to prevent it from recurring.
Assuming you have the right diagnosis, there are many excellent OTC anti-fungal creams available. Keep area dry and wipe thoroughly after bathing. Results should begin in just a few days. Other possible DX's are eczema, intertrigo, psoriasis, contact dermatitis, etc.
Good luck.
Must go see derm.
Keep feet dry, using anti fungal powders, and creams. Have a dermatologist develop a regimen for you and make sure you have at least two pairs of shoes to alternate days and let one pair dry and aerate while you wear the other. Visit your local dermatologist and discuss your options and diagnosis.
