How do I get rid of chronic mucus production?

I have chronic mucus production in my throat. Every few moments of every day I have to spit out a bunch of mucus. I've had this condition for around a year and it's non-stop.

Stop spitting. Swallow. You body will always produce saliva and mucous. Its normal and its ok. This how your body is designed to work. Your stomach needs that mucous and saliva. Who diagnosed you with this 'condition'? How do you know its abnormal?
NASAL mucous production can be annoying and bothersome and this can be treated with nasal steroids usually to help slow it down, but even here, mucous production is normal for the linings of the inside of your body.
Abnormal salivary production can be measured but its difficult, and must be done with the help of a dentist over a 24 hours period. So stop your spitting habit. Swallow.
Mucus is a normal issue and does not need to be expectorated.

See an ENT doctor for further evaluation. There are a lot of reasons this could be happening. One of the most frequent, and often overlooked by non-ENT docs, is what we call laryngopharyngeal reflux, "silent reflux", and a host of other names. Do some reading on this and see if it fits prior to your ENT appt. Allergies and chronic sinusitis are also potential causes as well. In other cases, chronic throat clearing itself can lead to irritation and the feeling of mucus in the throat.
Hello, I would recommend a consultation with an ENT Specialist as it could be due to chronic sinusitis, allergies, silent reflux, etc. Thank you.
