How long after a permanent crown can I eat?

I will get my permanent crown tomorrow. How long after a permanent crown can I eat?

You may eat immediately. I do recommend not eating anything very hard or sticky for the first 24 hours to allow the bonding or cement to complete all of its reactions and obtain its final hardness.
As soon as the cement used sets. To be cautious, give it 30 minutes.
The answer depends on the kind of cement used to place it. You can eat on it right away if the crown is bonded on with a resin cement. Most other cements take about an hour to set, however we like the patient to wait at least a day before eating normally just to be safe.
