No more than 3-4 hours a day . You don’t want your muscles become dependent .
Great Question! It is never too late to improve your posture, even if it has been problematic for years. I am not a posture corrector expert nor do I endorse such products currently in the marketplace, but speak with a skilled physical medical professional before. As a chiropractor, 4-6 weeks, 4 hours a day is a good starting point, coupled with exercises. You can wear your posture corrector for around 6-8 hours/day in my opinion. More importantly, you should do pulling type exercises such as rows to strengthen the muscles of the back and between the shoulder blades (traps and rhomboids) and stretch the pecs and anterior delts to bring those shoulders back.
The posture corrector is like wearing a brace.  It can be helpful, but if worn long term, it can be detrimental.  I would not wear it more than one hour per day.
It iYou should start with 15-30 minutes 2 -3 times a day Then gradually increase to 1 hr then 2hrs then 3hrs until you can wear it comfortably all day This process is slow and gradual. Don't wear while sleeping If it's never comfortable try a different one. Dr. William Fishkin
Posture correctors are meant to be worn intermittently. NOT consecutive hours. I use the ratio of 1 hour to 30 minutes. For every hour you wear it, you should take a 30 minute break. Repeat this up to 6 times a day. You do not want to rely on a posture corrector to maintain your posture. You should be encouraged to work out and strengthen the muscles that stabilize your spine.
You first build up to wearing it most of the day. As your posture improves you slowly reduce it to the point where you wear it 1-2 hours. Hope this helps. Jay H Schwartz, DC, DIBCN, DIBE
Only 2-3 hours per day, as you don't want to become reliant on the device and you don't want to cause weakness.
