“I had 10 mg of Cetrizine at 10 in the morning. Is it safe to have it again within 6 hours?”
I have recently moved my residence and in the moving process contracted a severe dust allergy. I had 10 mg of Cetrizine at 10 am due to severe sneezing caused by an allergic reaction. It is now 4 pm and the sneezing has started again. Is it okay to have another dose now?

The approved dose of cetirizine is 10 mg once daily. There are several situations where we will suggest that the patient take a higher dose. It is safe to take an extra dose on a day, but if you are continuing to have symptoms, it is best to consult with your physician to make sure you are on the proper medications.
