My friend has an alcohol addiction. I want to help her. Is alcoholism curable?

Alcohol ism is not a disease it is an addiction and to defeat the addiction your friend needs to attend AA groups, individual therapy and go to rehab. Your friend needs cognitive restructuring to help change the links that they made with alcohol and other things in life.
