Is gum pain a new symptom of COVID-19?

I am a 30 year old female. I now have gum pain and also have COVID-19. Is gum pain a new symptom of COVID-19?

Hi,

We are learning of new signs and symptoms being found related to the covid-19 virus. The latest Intra-oral sign is mucormycosis. This was found largely in India. I would suggest to follow the protocols set in your area and, when possible, visit your doctor/dentist.
Thanks.
I wish I had a good answer. There are no studies so far as far as the effect of the Covid virus on gingival tissue. In any event, proper flossing and brushing is highly recommended.
Not that I know of, but the list keeps getting longer. I suppose gum pain can be a symptom of COVID if you have concurrent sinus involvement (sinus infections can cause gum pain), but there is no evidence to support this.
No
I am unaware of any documented studies that link gum pain to Covid-19. There are some documented cases of people suffering from sores on their soft palate while also suffering from Covid -19.
