Dentist Questions Dental Implants

Is it painful to get dental implants?

I am about to get dental implants next month and I want to know if it's going to be painful? How long would the appointment be?

Shouldn't be painful - you would be numbed. You may have some discomfort for a day or so after the implant surgery but Advil, Tylenol, Ibuprofen should take care of it.
With proper freezing should be no pain, depends on how many implants.
It should be painless, surgery takes 5 to 15 minutes per implant
I have 2 implants. You will be sore for 24-48 hours. The appointment time ranges on the dentist, where the implant is being placed and on whether or not the placement of the implant is being done in conjunction with a bone graft (for additional support of the implant).
Hi there,

I always say placing dental implants is less traumatic and eventful than taking out a tooth. If the site is well prepared, i.e., bone, tissue, etc., placing an implant doesn’t take long and most people take an extra strength Advil that night for pain or to prevent pain and that’s it!
Hope this helps!
