“Is swollen ankle serious?”
I noticed that my ankle is swollen around the joint area. Is swollen ankle serious?

Hi! It is normal to experience a certain amount of swelling especially if you sit or stand too long, pregnancy etc I would recommend an evaluation by your primary to make sure there are no other causes like circulation, blood pressure etc
I recommend you schedule an appointment with a foot and ankle surgeon (podiatrist) for diagnosis and treatment options
It may or may not be. Definitely need to be looked at if the condition stops you from doing what you want or quality of life. The condition does not go away or get better or get worse by the day. Also, if the condition worries you to the point you are losing sleep over it.
