Monoclonal infusion?

I’m on day 3, just back pain - my dr. did not give me anything but over the counter medicine. Can I go to the hospital and ask for the monoclonal infusion? No other critical conditions but overweight.

At this time, this is not being offered as it has not completed all of the trials required for approval. This is still in trials, therefore, this is not yet an option, but sounds like it will be beneficial. There are some drawbacks related to tolerability and cost. *The ongoing clinical development and application of these agents in clinical practice depends on their ability to demonstrate efficacy while balancing these benefits against potential tolerability issues. In addition to tolerability concerns, cost considerations represent a key potential limitation of mAbs for chronic pain. For these reasons, patients with unmet needs in terms of pain relief, prevention of pain, or tolerability issues from currently available treatments are mostly likely to benefit from mAbs targeting pain pathways. *
