My mom is having side effects from Cymbalta?

My mom was prescribed Cymbalta for back pain. She has only taken 5 pills and it's really making her tired, nauseous, and has no appetite. Can she stop taking? She is waiting for her doctor to call her back.

Good evening this is Dr. Palmer. Cymbalta is a very good drug for those who have myofascial pain and muscular aching however it must be starting in a very very low-dose and with trial and error increased dose until you feel comfortable if you are starting and a low-dose it should be 15 mg every other day and increase it to your on 15 mg daily and see how you feel if you feel too strange with it it’s probably not the right to hug for you I wish you all the best Dr. Palmer
Yes, stop immediately, it was not likely to help anyway. Have her see an interventional pain physician, preferably fellowship trained and a SIS member.
