Perianal abscess wound

10 weeks from drainage of a large perianal abscess. CT scan showed the abscess to be 8cm. Subsequent wound was 10cm. Packing of the wound daily for about 8 weeks with silver containing material. Healing stalled at 1.5cm. Hypergranulation treated with silver nitrate and wound healed to 0.5cm, but has now increased back to 1.5cm. Drainage is mostly serous with some blood. Sometimes a grey/green mucous like drainage. Monitored by wound clinic nurses at least once per week and they say it is clean. The skin opening is 0.1cm by 0.1cm. Why won't this heal for the last 1.5cm? I am following up with surgeon who drained the abscess. Any thoughts or suggestions please?

You might look at your nutrition - the best source is is food, but if you are not enough healthy food you may need to take a supplement. You also need to be taking in enough calories - healing requires energy.
Hay que operarlo realizar fistulectomia
This could be a fistula which is a tract from the anus to the abscess cavity.  most abscesses form from an infected gland and if the gland does not scar it can form a fistula this can sometimes be palpated as a tract from the open wound to the anus
ask your surgeon about this.
At this point in recovery, there is a real possibility of an anal fistula. These are ongoing connections between the anal canal and the skin. Other wound-healing issues can be caused by foreign bodies, infection, smoking, or malnutrition.
