Do you have any bad breath?  Do you have any cavities in the back of your mouth? Do you still have your tonsils? Have you been fully vaccinated and up-to-date on all things other than Covid? And if it is recent and you are in a high allergy area do you have seasonal allergies? It sounds like postnasal drip with an irritation that’s resulting in that, but more information will be needed before that would be the case and or the diagnosis. I would recommend speaking with your provider and see if there is an examination and or further tests which might be Indicated at this time. Also, a referral to either in ear nose and throat or a gastroenterologist or both. Thank you for asking and I hope you feel better. God bless

Not sure what you mean by this. Phlegm comes from the nasopharynx so I am unable to connect that to eating. It would require more detail to help you figure out what is going on.
