Your medicine contains the chemical olanzapine. And common side effects include both insomnia and constipation. If the medication is doing an excellent job for you, would discuss with your physician various approaches to minimize insomnia and constipation. Best wishes!

Olimelt typically Carrie’s the side effects of possible weight gain,
increased blood sugar levels and increased lipid, or cholesterol, levels.
Insomnia and constipation are not as common.
This medication may cause the side effect of Constipation but it is usually quite sedating rather than causing Insomnia.
Olimelt produces constipation and sleepiness. It does not produce insomnia.
It not supposed to cause insomnia, it helps with insomnia. Constipation is a side effect.
Thanks for reaching out. Your provider can give you more information about this. But Olimet an antipsychotic medication that contains olanzapine. It typically causes sedation, not insomnia. It can cause constipation, so it's important to make sure you are drinking enough water throughout the day. If you are diagnosed with schizophrenia, you will need to take the medication regularly, so if you are experiencing side effects, talk to your provider about this to see if a dose change or a medication change would be helpful. Good luck!
