Restoralax while pregnant?

I am 22 weeks pregnant. I have been taking colace for stool softeners. I have been taking 2 at night for almost 2 weeks. I went to the hospital a few weeks ago because I had stomach pain where my pancreas is and they said it was just gas. The doctor at the walk-in said to use restoralax even though I went to the bathroom that morning because she couldn't see my pancreas in the ultrasound because of all the gas.

I was told by 2 doctors to use restoralax and by 2 pharmacists to take Colace. I tried colace first because I already go to the bathroom once a day but it's hard and after taking colace it's better, but still hurts. I am just wondering if restoralax is bad for pregnancy. I was told all it does is put water in your bowels but when I looked it up online it said it's not recommended for pregnancy and it's scared me.

I took one colace tonight, when should I take restoralax?

If you don't have constipation then there is no need to take a laxative or colace. Restorolax is probably safe during pregnancy but we don't know for sure.
If you are bloating or passing a lot of flatus then try lowering carbs in your diet, e.g. the low FODMAP diet. Otherwise use fiber to help you move your bowels, if you are constipated.
Strong and stimulant laxatives are avoided during pregnancy. Colace is considered safer because it’s a stool softener.
Restorolax should be safe during pregnancy.
