“Ringworm?”
I was diagnosed with ringworm of the scalp. I only received a medicated shampoo and was wondering if I also needed an oral anti-fungal? I also was wondering how long it is contagious after starting shampoo treatment.

A short course of anti fungal medication gives a higher cure rate and reduces risk of infection to others faster
It is better to get an oral medication.
