Should I be concerned about my low heart rate?

My heart rate is 55. Should I be concerned about my low heart rate?

No.
Although that is a relatively slow heart rate it is definitely not dangerously slow. Depending on your age and your physical conditioning that can be a totally normal heart rate. Well trained athletes often have a resting heart rate in the 40s.
Many athletes have a low heart rate. A rate of 55 is not alarming. If one is getting plenty of exercise and the overall health is optimal, then, there is no cause for alarm. Some healthy people even have a heart rate lower than 55. However, the elderly should be careful in not letting their heart rate get too low as it interferes with circulation and their energy level. Their doctor should go over their medications to make sure they are compliant and make adjustments as he/she sees fit.
