Psychiatrist Questions Psychologist

Should I go to a doctor for a panic attack?

I have panic attacks almost every day. Will it go away on its own?

You should see a therapist (Psychologist, Psychotherapist, Counselor) to help you with panic attacks. You also could benefit from seeing a psychiatrist give you a (temporary) medication for anxiety.
Panic attacks are a natural response to dangerous situations. If you are having it and you are not in danger, then you need to get skills to help yourself. Look for someone that you will like to work with. Be well.

As I do not know you it is difficult to say "Yes or No" to your question "Will it go away on its own?". Regarding your question "Should I go to a doctor for a panic attack?" My response is "Do you need to?".  Apparently, you are suffering from having a panic attack, per you, "almost every day" otherwise you would not be reaching out and asking for advice. So my suggestion is yes go to a licensed psychologist and a psychiatrist and let them evaluate you and then give you appropriate advice. In case you are in FL contact me. Take care and remain safe.

It sounds like you will be best served to locate and schedule an intake assessment with a licensed prescriber such as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. This professional can work with you on obtaining an official diagnosis and thereby properly treat your symptoms. I also suggest meeting for counseling with a mental health counselor/psychologist to gain insight into your condition and develop more adaptive ways of preventing panic and coping effectively.
I am sorry to hear about your panic attacks. Without getting to the root of what is causing this response, they are less likely to just go away. You must identify the source of your stress in order to learn better coping techniques. I would love to be of assistance. You are capable of making a change if you are ready.
I recommend seeing a psychologist who works with anxiety. They can teach you relaxation exercises and work with you in therapy to address the sources of the anxiety. Additionally, there are meds that can reduce the symptoms but I would suggest the above recommendations first.

Panic attacks are something you should discuss with your doctor and your mental health provider. You can start with a visit to your doctor, but he or she may refer you to a counselor for assistance.

Hope this helps!
If you are having panic attacks daily, you should get therapeutic support and go to your doctor. It may help to seek a psychiatrist, but you can get support from your primary care physician while you wait for mental care availability. Your panic is unlikely to resolve itself. Support to recognize the sources of anxiety and/or stress can help you overcome this hurdle.
