Taking medication for congestion and running nose?

I have congestion and runny nose and a friend had the same thing and was given Paeudoephedrine Hydrocloride 30mg and Mucinex 600mg ER Tablets. However, I currently take the following medication for my heart condition Carvedilol 25mg, Entresto 49-51mg, Furosemide 20mg, Atorvastatin 80mg, Aspirin 81mg, and Vitamin D 2000 capsule. Is it ok for me to take the Paeudoephedrine and Mucinex, please help me?

I would avoid the pseudophedrine. It can make your heart rate and blood pressure go up. You are taking carvediolol to try and keep your heart rate low. I would use OTC flonase one spray twice daily and nasal saline rinses to try and clear up your nasal congestion.
Decongestants are probably not a good idea for someone on carvedilol or who has a defibrillator. However, an antihistamine, such as loratadine (Claritin) or a nasal steroid spray (fluticasone or mometasone), all over the counter, would likely be fine. Also consider a neti pot or sinus rinse, which really help.

Not a good idea to take pseudoephedrine while on antihypertensive medication. Better choice would be using diphenhydramine for the symptoms.
