“Teeth cleaning?”
Hi, when I went to get my teeth cleaned at a new dentist, I was made to swallow the water the entire time laying down. No suction was used at all. Is this a normal practice? Or was I being treated improperly?

I am not sure that I would call it common practice; however, there is nothing harmful that you would have swallowed.

Normally the hygienist will use a straw suction to remove the water during the usage of the ultrasonic instrument.
