Orthopedist Questions Thigh pain

Thigh pain?

Woke up in the middle of the night with intense pain in and along the right thigh emanating from the hip whenever I make a lateral move.

Male | 68 years old
Complaint duration: 4 hours
Medications: Various bp and cardiology, 100 mg alipurinol gout
Conditions: Post AA surgery 20+. Years

Probably trochanteric bursitis. Go to an orthopedic office and see if they say try some anti inflammatory meds with ice packs, etc. Or, quick fix if you’ve had symptoms for a while, steroid injection.
I would recommend an evaluation. You may have a back issue, or your hip arthritis has progressed to a point that it has become a problem.
