Twitching eye?

Is there anything you can take for an eye that randomly twitches that’s over the counter? It happens randomly and doesn’t affect my vision, my face isn’t affected by this. I wear contacts.

Too much stress, too much caffeine, and lack of sleep cause it.
This is stress or lack of sleep related. Do yoga to relax.

Similar to hiccups, which is due to instability of the nerve to the diaphragm, lid twitching is due to instability of the facial nerve to the eyelids. As for treatment, there are many wives tails, but no medically proven techniques, except Botox for incalcitrant cases. I would suggest first trying an NSAID, like Motrin, and increasing potassium levels by eating bananas or drinking orange juice. SO
This is due to nervous over action and is termed myokymia (you can look it up). In most, it is subtle and is something you feel rather than that others can see it. It is benign and does not arise from anything you need to fear. Only rarely is it so obvious that you are uncomfortable with it. In those rare cases where it is that way, Botox can attenuate it. Best, however, to live with it since it will not cause any harm.
