I would recommend you to rest your arm and apply ice to the sore area for about 15-20 minutes several times a day. If the soreness persists or worsens after a week, it would be wise to consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation and guidance.

Which arm? Was it related to a activity, trauma, fall, etc? New activity? I recommend you see your physician
The causes of upper arm pain vary. If you did not have preceding trauma, the most common cause would be some condition in your shoulder joint. Having your physician check tender points and range of motion measurement with associated change in severity of pain and appropriate imaging study may help make the diagnosis which should be the base to make the treatment plan.
