Try stretching exercises, ibuprofen, a night splint which you can get from Amazon
Ice, stretching, and Aleve. You should contact a podiatrist if you continue to have pain. You may need an injection for the inflammation and pain, a prescription for physical therapy, and/or custom foot orthoses.
Hi! It all depends on the cause, but icing, stretching and proper shoes are all helpful.
Hello, Thank you for your question. We have to evaluate you and take foot x-rays if needed.
The most common cause of heel pain is plantar fasciitis. I have written a great deal here about plantar fasciitis, so look up some of the articles I have written. But, in general, stretching, icing, anti-inflammatory medications, injections, orthotics, and appropriate shoe gear are a great place to start.
Begin with rest, ice and elevation. I recommend you make an appointment with a foot and ankle surgeon (podiatrist) for diagnosis and other treatment options
The answer is it depends on the reason or root cause of the pain. Heel pain can be from a heel spur, plantar fasciitis, ligament injury, flat feet, etc. So in order for pain to ease, the cause has to be known. I recommend seeing a foot doctor to find the root cause.
