What does a tailor's bunion feel like?

I am a 59 year old female. I want to know what does a tailor's bunion feel like?

It hurts. Any *bunion* can be painful, especially if it rubs against your shoe. A *tailor's bunion*, also called a bunionette, is a bony lump that forms along the side of the little toe. It happens when the fifth metatarsal bone enlarges or shifts outward. The fifth metatarsal is the very bottom bone on the little toe. It is treated with a shoe that is wider so the bone won't rub on the shoe. Also, pads can be purchased at any store to protect the skin from rubbing on the shoe. If all of the above fails, a surgery can be performed.

Hope it helps!!

Good morning,

Bunions are bone or soft tissue protuberances which may cause pain. Many are due to genetics, trauma, chronic irritation. Most bunions occur on the big toe side (medially). Those on the outside, little toe are called “Tailors” bunions. Tailors sat with legs crossed putting constant pressure on this area and causes the bunion.
Good luck.
A Tailors bunion is a bunion on the outside of your foot (little toe side). It is harmless, but may cause pain with pointed toe shoes or heels. Pain is relieved by wearing shoes with a large toe-box (large front part of your shoe).
