What happens if you smoke after scaling and root planing?

I am a 33 year old male. I want to know what happens if you smoke after scaling and root planing?

Impedes your healing time to double or triple.
Smoking will significantly slow the healing of the gum tissue and can cause an infection to occur. I would really try your best to not smoke at all but definitely not after scaling and root planing.
You upset the healing process. It will take longer to heal and the healing may not be as the dentist expected. Try to refrain for at least 5 days.
Smoking will adversely affect the outcome of your treatment.
