“What helps a toothache from a sinus infection?”
I have a sinus infection and I have a bad toothache. What helps a toothache from a sinus infection?

Antibiotics should be taken for a sinus infection. If the sinus infection is due to an infected nerve in the tooth, then root canal treatment would be an option if the tooth is restorable.
This is a great and very common question to ask. Please seek treatment from a general dental office asap. You will need an X-ray and evaluation to really see what is happening. Many infected teeth can mask as sinus infections and the reverse is true too. Often, you will be prescribed an appropriate antibiotic and evaluated for which treatment is best for you. Best advice, please seek treatment today. Many offices are open next week prior to the 24th.
Many toothaches occur from subclinical sinus issues. I find that ibuprofen plus a cold prep such as Sudafe or Actifed is very helpful in this situation. If no relief from this treatment, a more serious sinus infection may need to be treated with appropriate antibiotics. A referral to an ENT specialist may be warranted.
A lot of times a sinus infection and a tooth ache get confused because sinus infections can make your teeth ache and upper tooth infections can cause a sinus infection. To get rid of the pain you need to identify which is the source of the problem, the sinus or the tooth, then treat that first. Teeth don't care what position they are in as far as causing pain. So, if an upper tooth hurts and you notice the pain changes, either gets better or worse, when you change your head position, it is most likely a sinus infection and treating that, usually with antibiotics, will resolve the issue. There is a chance your dentist will prescribe you an antibiotic to help rule out a true tooth infection.
You must have the Maxillary teeth checked for vitality. It is possible the tooth is causing the sinus infection. If it is truly just a sinus infection, the teeth will all test normal and vital.
I’m not sure I understand the question. An infected posterior tooth in the maxillae can cause a sinus infection. To help rid the sinus infection, the infected tooth should be treated.
You should make an appointment with an ENT (ear, nose and throat) doctor for an evaluation. A sinus infection can cause tooth pain, but you may also have a specific problem with a tooth as well. You have not provided enough information for me to make a definite diagnosis.
