Cardiac arrest
Hello,
A heart attack and cardiac arrest are the same thing. When plaque or clumped cells enter the coronary arteries and become lodged, the heart loses necessary oxygen and portions affected are not able to move properly causing death to that part of the heart if the blockage is not corrected within a certain matter of time. Hope this helps! Dr. Cipriano
A heart attack can be minor or severe and life threatening. Cardiac arrest can occur because of a heart attack or other medical reasons.
Hello,

Please refer to the following links for additional details, which describe that an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest may result in death up to 90.00% of the time, whereas, a heart attack up to 12.00%.
Thank you.
