Immediately, you need to be diagnosed and treated before any complications happen.
Ulcer, where? Skin due to unhealed cut? Duodenal ulcer? The latter needs more medical attention than the former.
When you have pain that doesn’t go away.
If your symptoms of pain and ingestion do not respond to medication or you develop complications of ulcer such as bleeding from stomach or intestine or having nausea or vomiting.
An ulcer should be first diagnosed by upper endoscopy or X-rays. All ulcers should be treated to prevent bleeding and other complications. The underlying cause of an ulcer should be sought, e.g., H. pylori infection.
