Allergy and Immunology Specialist Questions Seasonal Allergies

Why are allergies worse in the spring?

My allergies are out of control in the spring. Is there anything I can do for this? Other than taking anti-histamines?

Allergies tend to be spring/fall or summer/winter. Your spring time allergies are the result of rain and warmer temps bring the plants to life again. Pollen runs rampant. You can have allergy testing done and if you have limited allergens allergy shots can desensitize you. An alternative to antihistamines are the inhaled nasal steroids.
Hope this helps.
