You body is circulating better and there is less pain
Basically, your body’s nervous system should be in better balance after an adjustment. The autonomic nervous system is composed of the “sympathetic nervous system" (fight or flight mode) and “parasympathetic nervous system” (rest, relaxation and digestion). Often, people are in a state of too much sympathetic system activity. An adjustment may be able to tone that down so you may rest better. Sleep well. Take care and be well.
The reason we tend to sleep better after an adjustment is because our brain is able to communicate more effectively with the rest of our bodies via the nervous system. When balance is restored to the nervous it is easier for us to enter into a parasympathetic state which is when we are able to “rest and digest”.
Your nervous system can communicate better with the rest of the body systems after the adjustment. The spinal bones are no longer putting unnecessary pressure on the spinal cord.
Proper alignment of the spine allows all of the bodies functions to perform more efficiently. Misalignments in the spine may cause you to toss and turn in your sleep to find a comfortable position. Adjustments correct these misalignments.
