Its not normal, you might have hyper mobility and instability of your shoulder. Dr. Cedrick Noel, BSN, DC, FABCDD, DACNB Brain Body Rehabilitation Specialists 1400 Hembree Rd, Suite 130 Roswell, GA 30076 www.DrNoelDC.com
No it is not normal.
First. Never ever sleep on your stomach.unless you want back and neck issues in the future. Usually the popping is a tendon in the shoulder. It is common. Jay H Schwartz, DC, DIBCN, DIBE
Hello, A shoulder is a joint, so if it is in an awkward position, it has a chance of popping. If it hurts, then I would get it evaluated.
Popping of joints and shoulders are normal, popping with pain should be evaluated.

Many times, "pops" or "clicks" at the shoulder can be indicative of a labrum tear. The only way to confirm that is by taking a shoulder MRI. I recommend that you see a shoulder specialist or have an initial exam done with orthopedic tests to rule in or out a labrum tear.
Sleeping on your stomach is not recommended. Not sure what else could be going on.
