Can a chest X-ray detect bronchitis?

I am a 17 year old male. I think I have bronchitis and my doctor wants me to do a chest x-ray. Can a chest x-ray detect bronchitis?

Thank you for your question. Yes it can show bronchitis.
Yes. A chest X ray is quite good at detecting bronchitis.
Bronchitis is usually not detected by CXR. A CXR is generally ordered to detect more advanced infection such as pneumonia that may have clinical signs overlapping with bronchitis.
NO, but it rules out pneumonia, which is more serious.
