There is effective treatment for most childhood asthma. For true asthma, a cure is less likely.
There is no permanent cure for asthma. However, some children where asthma is triggered by upper respiratory infections get better as they get older and have less respiratory infections.
Asthma is a chronic disease and therefore cannot be permanently cured. Depending on its severity however, it can be controlled very well. There are patients who can go many years without an asthma exacerbation or attack.
