Knee pain can come from a variety of causes and needs a very good examination starting at the bottom, the feet and progressing up the leg all the way into the back. It can be muscular, ligamentous, tendon and /or the joints. It can be structural from current or previous injury. It can also be from internal disorders as and example in Rheumatoid Arthritis. If the pain persist see a professional.
Yes, absolutely. Even in the absence of any back pain.

Yes. The knee's are the bodies "shock absorbers" and when the body is out of alignment from the feet up to the pelvis, or the pelvis and hips down to the feet, a lot of stress and strain falls to the knees. This can not only cause pain but throw off muscle balance, and affect how you walk, sit, or stand.
When the pelvis is out of alignment it causes disproportionate weight distribution to the knees. So, yes not having proper balance in the hips can cause knee pain, foot pain and other joint pain as well. Chiropractors are trained and skilled to align the body properly and maintain balance which restores function and prevents pain.
Yes alignment issues can cause knee pain, and even greater functional myofascial deficits that relate to the kinetic chain, thin of all the joints being links in a chain of your leg can cause knee pain. It is also the primary cause for knee degenerative changes and osteoarthritis as people get into their 50's and 60's.
Being out of alignment can contribute to knee pain. There are a number of joints in the knee and ankle that can directly affect/cause knee pain. Spinal misalignments might cause you to alter the way you walk, also contributing to knee pain. The knee pain itself could also be causing misalignments in the spine as you change the way you walk because of the knee pain.
Yes, but the likelihood is that the knee has to be examined and probably adjusted. That's why I have done 75 sports teams and 3 olympic athletes.
Knee pain can have a variety of cause starting with the knee. Improper biomechanics of the foot and hip can also cause stresses in the knee along with muscular imbalances and spinal misalignments.
It certainly can. If your pelvis is not level, you can be putting undue stress on one knee or the other. It is best to be checked every 4-6 weeks to maintain spinal alignment and reduce bio mechanical issues.

Yes it can. Proper alignment allows for proper mechanics. Compromised alignment causes compensation patterns which leave our joints at increased risk for injury.

Spinal problems can create many other biomechanical problems. Unless you have had direct trauma to the knee, knee problems are usually a sign that something else is wrong...foot problems, hip problems, or problems in the low back or pelvis.
