Can you get anesthesia to have sealants added?

I am a 42 year old male. I want to know can you get anesthesia to have sealants added?

You can get anesthesia for any procedure, but it is not at all necessary.
You can, but sealants are placed on the surface of the back teeth to help prevent decay. Typically, there are no dental hand pieces involved in treatment, so it is very benign. It would seem very unnecessary to have anesthesia for this procedure.
There is no sound medical reason to have anesthesia for dental sealants. This is not a painful procedure.
Yes, you can. Sealants are extremely non-invasive, and so most Dentists will not recommend having anesthetic. However, if you are uncomfortable with the idea of having your teeth worked on without the numbing, you're absolutely able to elect to have anesthetic.
