You can visit a chiropractor any time you would like. Depending on the type of surgery, how recent it was, what techniques the chiropractor is proficient in, you may or may not get treatment.
Yes but most likely will work on the muscles using modalities such as electrotherapy or laser therapy. After scoliosis surgery most of the time you cannot be manipulated.
Yes, just ask the clinic if their doctor treats post-surgical patients.
YES
I’ve seen many patients after healed surgeries, including scoliosis surgery. You have to use precaution, and I prefer to use an instrument instead of the traditional adjusting methods as sometimes those will be contraindicated post surgery.
Yes, this is no problem. I treat many patients successfully after they have Harrington rods put in to correct their scoliosis. Just tell the chiropractor when they are examining you so they are aware of it.

To answer your question, yes you can see a chiropractor for treatment after scoliosis surgery. Depending on what kind of surgery you had, will depend on the type of treatment you receive. If the surgery was an insertion of a Harrigton Rod, the area of treatment is limited. A rod will cause other areas of the spine to present problems of stress, do to compensation. These will be the areas of interest. Let the chiropractor know the history and do a complete exam. I have treated numerous failed back surgeries and have seen tremendous results with decrease pain. Good Luck

Yes, Chiropractors can manage patients with previous surgeries. However, the effectiveness of Chiropractic care can be limited by surgical fusions. I would recommend seeking out a Chiropractor that is trained in non-force styles of adjustments and extremity adjustments if you have spinal fusions.
