Cardiac MRI Question?

I may have to have a cardiac MRI at some point (depends on the current coronavirus situation). I have heard that a needle is involved. As I have a SERIOUS needle phobia, can the cardiac MRI be done without a needle? Please help me as it's giving me a lot of stress and sleepless nights.

A cardiac MRI can be done without contrast, so no injection, but the yield of the test will be compromised. I suggest you have it the way it was recommended by your doctor.
You may want to check if they can give you a sedative beforehand for the day of the test. To take by mouth beforehand.
Not all cardiac MRIs require intravenous contrast. You should ask you doctor whether you will need it. There are ways to conquer needle phobias as well.
