Do antibiotics always work for children with peptic ulcers?

My daughter was diagnosed with a peptic ulcer and was prescribed with antibiotics. It's been a couple of weeks and we're now at the end of her antibiotic pack, but she's still in a lot of pain. I didn't take her back to her doctor because I thought this could be a side effect of the antibiotic, but now I"m thinking differently. Do antibiotics typically work for ulcers?

Some ulcers are caused by H. pylori that usually needs 2 antibiotics and a protonic such as nexium to heal. If she is not better, she would need to be rechecked because there are a lot of problems that cause abdominal pain that may need to be evaluated.
