Dentist Questions Dead tooth

Does a dead tooth always need a root canal?

I don't know if I do have a dead tooth, but I do feel some pain and discomfort in one of them. Doesn't look like a cavity. If the tooth is dead, do I need a root canal?

If the pulp inside of your tooth is dead, you should either have a root canal or have the tooth extracted. It is not a good idea to leave a dead nerve inside of your tooth untreated.
Yes, most of the time, it needs a root canal.
Yes, but you have to see a dentist for a proper diagnosis.
