My 13 year old daughter was diagnosed with viral meningitis. Does meningitis go away by itself?

Yes usually viral meningitis will heal itself
Meningitis is a very serious disease to rely just on spontaneous recovery.
Some viral meningitis can get better without treatment. But many of them need treatment
Viral meningitis does not require antibiotics since the germ that causes it is viral not a microbe that antibiotics will kill. Mainly, herpes meningitis is the only viral one that there is treatment. Other viruses usually go away on their own.
