How do I manage an edema and hydrocele?

Originally I was on Ramipril. BP was still elevated so my NP switched me to amdolipine benazepril 10/20. Seems I started to swell several months after the switch. Standing too long my legs would get heavy. Sedentary life didn't help any obviously. Well about 8 months ago I have received a hydrocele and it comes and goes on one side, with my legs still swollen.

Cutting down salt and focusing on sodium is difficult but I'm trying. Would weight loss cure my problem with adding more fruit as I've been then more vegetables?

In addition to my BP meds, my np originally gave me 20mg of lasix for the hydrocele and well that didn't do much so next visit shortly after I increased to 40mg. Very rarely will I take it twice a day.

Should /could I take potassium /magnesium supplements or focus on foods?

Anything for a for sure fix please.

Note, blood work shows heathly kidneys, no diabetes, cholesterol decreased just thicker blood I assume from stopping the low dosage aspirin.

Hydroceles don't typically come and go. It may be that you have scrotal edema which is related to the edema you have in the rest of your body. Your NP can order a scrotal ultrasound to be sure. If you have scrotal edema, the best thing is take your diuretics as directed by your physician and keep your scrotum elevated.

The case will be more beneficial followed by Internist the scrotal edema will resolve if the general condition improves.
