You may be sore for 7-14 days, but it actually takes 6-8 weeks for the bone to partially fill in the extraction socket.
There are really too many variables to answer. But should be able to function normal after a few days
It takes about 6 months for an extraction site to totally heal. With in the first 3 days most post operative pain has subsided and a nice clot has been formed. Within about 4 weeks the gum tissue has usually covered the area well and filled into approximate contours. Total bone heal and reorganize is about 6 months.
Generally speaking, the extraction site will be healing in the first 7 to 14 days. The bone will totally heal in 12 to 18 months.
