I'm 30 years old, and I've had a vaginal infection for the past couple of weeks. I'm trying to fight it off with home remedies. However, it doesn't seem to be working and this infection seems different from vaginosis or a yeast infection. Are there other types of vaginal bacterial infections?

Yes, vaginal flora is polymicrobial. Home remedy may not be exclusively effective in treatment, and occasionally a culture is required to identify particular specie of microbe causing the condition.
