I am a 17 year old female. I want to know if epidural anesthesia is painful afterwards?

Absolutely not. Unless there was nerve injury during placement, which is not very common and is one of the more serious complications of epidural. Must be mentioned by anesthesia before placement.

You can have some soreness afterwards at the injection site
There may be some momentary discomfort when the epidural needle is placed in the epidural space, but one the anesthetic is delivered there should be no further discomfort associated with the epidural.
Do not be afraid. I believe vein cannulation hurts more. Ok
