Hospice anesthesia finality is to make those days less painful.
By hospice anesthesia, do you mean palliative sedation? Palliative sedation is usually the last resort in case the patient's symptoms are not resolved in spite of multiple lines of treatment. As we are evolving with improved symptom management approaches, the need for palliative sedation is significantly declining. Of note, the last observed case of palliative sedation for me was about 6 years ago.
