Nephrologist (Kidney Specialist) Questions Kidney health

My mother's kidney seems to be shrinking. What does that mean?

In a recent ultrasound, the doctor actually suggested that my mother's kidney is becoming smaller in size. What does this mean? I haven't heard of it until she brought it up to me after my appointment.

Kidneys become smaller, which indicated your mother lost nutrition, especially for kidney deficiency problems. She must has been feeling chronic fatigue and frequent urination. Let her doctor test her kidney function and creatinine level.
